If you know my daughter, then you know that she LOVES softball!
She loves the game, she loves to pitch, she just LOVES everything about it... except losing (she gets that honest!)
Well, Emilie had the opportunity to throw the first pitch out at the season opener for the SHSU BearKats thanks to Morgan Mikulin, the SHSU senior pitcher! The BearKats played the Texas A&M Aggies in Huntsville... to read about the game go here...
Jon is currently going back to school at SHSU and I went there for a year before going to nursing school... after parking and then walking to the stadium, I soon remembered all those stinkin' hills! I was out of breath by the time I got to the ticket booth... stairs, stairs, and more stairs!
This was the softball team pre-game... they were playing with a hacky sack. Emilie thought that was funny! I guess it's a good way to loosen up before a big game!

.... and sister didn't hold anything back! She threw that ball as hard as she could and did a GREAT job! I know she was nervous, but she did AWESOME!I asked her after she got back to the stands if she had fun and she said... "I'm still breathing hard!" Hahaha... I thought to myself, "me too"!
They gave Emilie a ball... and then the little Staffer guy that walked her out onto the field took it from her and left it in the dugout! Don't worry though, after the game, Emilie made sure that Morgan knew that he took it and in its place, Emilie will now get a softball signed by all of the SHSU BearKats! Woowhoo... score for Emilie! 
This is Morgan pitching... so intense! Morgan stuck 6 batters out at last nights game! Emilie was in heaven last night watching these "college girls" play ball! 
The final score was 2-1 with the Aggies beating the BearKats...
They gave Emilie a ball... and then the little Staffer guy that walked her out onto the field took it from her and left it in the dugout! Don't worry though, after the game, Emilie made sure that Morgan knew that he took it and in its place, Emilie will now get a softball signed by all of the SHSU BearKats! Wow, how exciting for your daughter! And isn't it funny how we moms experience that nervousness right along with them... sometimes I think I get more nervous for my child than he does!
That last picture of your son is soooo cute.
WOW! !HOw cool!! I bet Em loved it and I am sure she did a GREAT JOB!!!! :) That is AWESOME!!!! The pictures of diddle are so cute too.....
