the perfect Photo Opportunity....

This last weekend, we went out of town to a baby shower for two of my cousins...
they are sisters and one is expecting a boy in March and the other is expecting a boy and a girl (twins) in April! After the baby shower, we all planned on going out to eat at the BEST mexican food place EVER... Ochoa's! While we were waiting on the girls to get all their goodies loaded up, I saw this old trading post and thought to myself... what a great photo opportunity!! Of course I had my camera, and my kids were halfway dressed up, or at least clean... so I pulled into the trading post and begged my children and nephew to take some pics for me!
well if there is one thing I have learned with taking pictures of my kids... it's this...
they will not cooperate with you unless it is what they want to do!!
lol
the perfect photo op ended with 3 good pictures...
and two of them were of Emilie... the other, Carson, my nephew!
Emilie had on a dress with pink leggings and the trading post was red... so I decided to go black and white and I think it turned out great!
this is Carson... he wanted to run on the train tracks and I wouldn't let him until he smiled big and pretty for me... he's such a cheeser! I am so glad he listens better than Dylan! I told Dylan the same thing and he ran off like a mad man for the train tracks!!

My pretty girl again... :)

This was the attempt at the group shot! Carson wasn't looking.. Dylan, well just look at him... Makalin wasn't having it either... but look at Emilie, she's a pro!
another attempt!

typical Dylan... he did NOT want to take pictures!
little goober!

this was the boys in the READY, SET, RUN position!!
again, look at Dylan's face.... geez!

both of them with their eyes closed...

Mr. Ham... would not cooperate with me at all!
he looks like he is ready to box!
maybe i shouldn't have given him that dose of Benadryl... it has the opposite effect on him... he is wired for hours!
.... and that's it!
The PERFECT photo op... *sigh*
maybe next time!
=)

I love these pictures...as a mom it's always the hardest to get a group shot because you are always going to be looking for something "perfect." I love the photo of all your little ones sitting looking to the side!
